UBS software Version 9.4 new features

a) Entry Wizards

• The entry wizards serve as a quick start to new users in getting started with the system. It provides step by step guide for user to set up the necessary master data and also enter transactions into the system.
• It reduces the inconvenience of having to go through different menu paths in order to get the task done.
• Entry wizards are available in both UBS Accounting and UBS Payroll.
• Entry wizards in UBS Accounting:-

1. Start your business wizard
2. Enter purchase invoice wizard
3. Enter sales invoice wizard
4. Enter cheque payment wizard
5. Enter cheque received wizard

• Entry wizards in UBS Payroll:-

1. Add new employee wizard

b) KPI

• The following new KPIs are added into UBS Accounting to help user monitor debts and collections, thus giving good fund management control:

1. 6 months aging
2. 12 months aging
3. Debtor with outstanding exceeding 3 months
4. Customer outstanding analysis
5. Monthly collection by agent
6. Monthly sales vs. collection

c) Excel Add-on

• Excel Add-on provides functions that allow user to work directly from MS Excel. The function enables user to seamlessly retrieve data from the database and insert it into the Excel spreadsheet for own management of reporting requirement.

d) SMS

• With the SMS service, users will be able to send the following KPIs to mobile phone anytime upon request.
• KPI available from Accounting System: -

1. Top 3 overdue Creditor (Creditor name, account no. amount)
2. Top 3 overdue Debtor (Debtor name, account no. amount)
3. Debtor Outstanding
4. Debtor Exceeding Credit Limit

• KPI available from Inventory & Billing System: -

1. Top 3 Product Sales Value By Current Month
2. Top 3 Sales By Customer By Current Month
3. Top 3 Sales Categories By Current Month
4. Top 3 Items Purchased By Current Month
5. Top 3 Purchases Categories By Current Month
6. Top 3 Purchases By Supplier By Current Month

• Users will also be able to send SMS to inform customer that Delivery Order and/or Sales Invocie has been issued
• The SMS service is also enhanced to be able to send custom SMS to selected customers or suppliers available in the system.

e) UBS eCredit Controller

• UBS eCredit Controller allows user to check the credit information on companies, businesses and individuals via BRIS Information Services.
• Credit information is a factual record on companies, businesses and individuals in terms of detailed profile of the company or business and includes any litigation cases, winding-up petitions, defaulters' payment records and bankruptcy cases of individuals.

f) UBS ePayMaster

• UBS ePayMaster provides electronic payment services to UBS users via T-Melmax’s Max-Paygate payment gateway.
• T-Melmax payment services helps user to handle processing of bulk payment, bulk collection, retail payment and other variety of payments with interface to IBG (Inter Bank Giro), FPX (Financial Processing Exchange) and statutory bodies such as EPF, SOCSO and Income Tax etc.

g) UBS eWebMaster

• With UBS eWebMaster, users will be able to setup their business websites via the Ebossss Website DIY Kit provided by Exabytes Network.
• Ebossss Website DIY Kit is a step-by-step wizard that guides users to setup their website within 7 simple steps.

h) ACT! by Sage for UBS

• ACT! by Sage is a contact management system. It helps user to manage customer relationships, track sales leads, organise diary & tasks and organise marketing campaigns.
• Now, user is able to integrate UBS Accounting and UBS Inventory & Billing with ACT! by Sage to sync and retrieve required information.

i) UBS Mobile

• UBS Mobile is a ‘mini’ UBS Accounting on mobile. User is able to view customer information (i.e. contact details, shipping & billing details, and payment terms), unpaid bills and debtor statement at anywhere, anytime via UBS Mobile.

j) UBS Payroll – New User Interface and Quick access process flow

• The payroll system has been enhanced to adopt the same User Interface as in UBS Accounting and UBS Inventory & Billing to ensure standardization among all UBS products.
• A set of quick access task flows will be displayed on the newly introduced dashboard in UBS Payroll.
• User can choose to execute a task by clicking on the process flow button to directly access the entry screen.
• This quick access will help to speed up entry by eliminating the tedious tasks of having to go few levels to call up the entry screen itself.

k) Option to turn off RSS

• The RSS setting has been enhanced to allow user to turn off the RSS feeds.
